In May 2009 we set out on an attempted End to End hike of the Long Trail. On the day we were traveling to Minerva Hinchey shelter, I wasn't feeling well for some reason. Later that night I woke up sick. The next day we calle "Plans Alot" and hiked out to 140 to get a ride into Rutland where I could take a few days off. We wound up instead out at Killington. I stayed for a few days before realizing that my worsening chest cold just wasn't going to get better soon.
One of the goals of our End to End was to do a complete GPS waypoint layer of the entire trail. Hence, due to bowing out at Rt140, we only have a track from North Adams approach trail to the Whistle Stop. If anyone out there has other GPS Waypoints of differing points along the trail, please send them to me in GPX format and we will begin combining and editing the files to match the map of the Long Trail. In the meantime, if you wish to download our waypoints, they are provided on the link below.
