Kid Gore Shelter to Story Spring Shelter - 4.8 Miles
The Kid Gore Shelter is a log lean-to structure with bunks for 8 people. It was built in 1971. There is a spring 30 feet north of the shelter that serves as the water source.
WARNING: Spring is unreliable. However there is a reliable brook next to the Caughnawaga Shelter (closed) .1 miles from Kid Gore.
As with all shelters and camps on the Long Trail, please practice Leave No Trace principles and obey all rules posted in the cabins or shelters.
