The Bamforth Ridge Shelter is a lean-to style shelter made of Cedar logs. It was built in 2002 and has space for 9. There are also tent platforms available and those camping in a group should utilize the platforms leaving the shelter open for hikers. The water source is the brook in front of the shelter. Campfires are prohibited at this site. Bamforth Ridge is excellent place to stop for the night to get your food drop from the Post Office the next morning in Jonesville, VT.
WARNING: The brook may fail during periods of drought
As with all shelters and camps on the Long Trail, please practice Leave No Trace principles and obey all rules posted in the cabins or shelters.
