The Long Trail is a 270+ mile thru Vermont's wilderness. You are here because you are either A: an enthusiast of the Long Trail or B: seeking more information about hiking the Long Trail, whether in sections, day hikes, or a thru-hike. Our goal with this website and these guides are not to take away from the Green Mountain Club's comprehensive trail guide and maps, but rather to enhance them by helping hikers to have a more informed hiking experience.

In these links exist the a comprehensive End to End guide that details services hikers might need at the various towns, highways and trail heads that intersect the Long Trail's path. We have also compiled a guide to the shelters a long the entire route going from north to south. Initially the information is basic but as time progresses we hope to get more detailed and in depth as users relay to us their information and own experiences.

At any time during any of these articles, if you have information you want to share with others and or want to add information to the guide, simply use the commenting form at the end of each article. All comments are posted immediately if you are a registered user of the site and also get emailed to the webmaster who will update the articles as necessary.
