Just recently returned (7/3) from hiking LT from Stratton/Arlington Rd to Stratton Pond Shelter and return via Stratton Pond Trail - Total 12.5 miles. Trail is miserable "bog-like" conditions with high water and consistent ankle deep mud for the entire length. Talked to local Vermonter hiker who said trail conditions have never been so poor and worse than "mud season". I would give the trail and entire month of no additional rain to dry out before I returned to this section.
